I was just asking in terms of profit for PP, wouldn't it be better to bring crafters to the planet, so they leave their money here?

I would imagine it is, yes. :)

So, if you like this kind of event. And would like to support the A-team in their effords. I would reccomend you craft on Arkadia.

Its purely technical boundaries that makes it so there is no "location" in the rules.
The only way we can ensure where you are when you get a hof, is if you run the ET client. And we dont want to force anyone to run the ET client in this event. :)

Really nice to see some events for crafters although this one started exactly as I thought (almost no entries whatsoever). The reason of this is that most of bps are worth absolutely nothing. I think the event won't actually attract crafters because there is nothing to fight for. Well maybe despite few bps, but because of the rules we gonna see 15 minutes of heavy craft and then same as during the start :) But either way I really like the way Arkadia tries to attract the players, just make a few changes and sooner or later you are going to nailed it.

Starfinder, on ET page there is "Blueprint Bonaza Event!" but it should be "Blueprint Bonanza Event!" I think.
    Just pointing out.

As far as I can see, this is an event for miners. Crafters need materials to craft with, and that creates demand for mining loot. While there's a low supply of miners, the demand should give them good MU, and encourage other miners to join in.

I don't really know what better conditions can be provided for a miner, apart from free stuff in loot, which has happened before in an Alienware competition. Just ask Larkin who looted a mouse!

What sort of mining event would you like to see? (that's not a rhetorical question, the feedback is valuable for the A-Team).

yeah this event definitely create demand for minerals, but my thought is it can only attract local arkadian miners to mine again, but i don't think the local arkadian miners can create enough supply for the crafters who participating this event, so i think a-team need to create a mining event as well in order to attract more calypsian miners to come and enlarge the whole minerals supply for crafters.

This event to be held for help arkadia to grow own functional economy. So if the supply and demand can't be steady, all the crafter will go back to calypso and minerals will be hard to sell again, so some miner will be forced to go to calypso too, then hunter will lack of weapon to use because of crafter can't buy enough minerals to craft, the whole event will be held for nothing.

I"m sorry that i know my english is really bad, but i really want to share my thought with arkadian and a-team, what i want to say is that the three professions need event for itself at the same time to attract as more as possible people to arkaida, every profession doing its own work to establish a steady supply and demand just like calypso, then even the three event are end and some people back to calypso, the supply and demand will not drop significantly just like the end of alienware event( i know the some people back to calypso are because of lootable space, but just like i said above lol i just want to share my thoughts).

As for what sort of mining event i like to see i would say i really don't know lol

    Fair enough, WildHeart :)

I still think that if the local miners can't keep up with demand, it won't take too long for other miners to find out and make their way over to Arkadia, however I take your point about stimulating all three sections of the economy at once. I think you should post your suggestions as dev feedback, or if you think of a type of competition, in the wishlist.

As for your English, your post is easier to understand than those of some native English speakers, so keep up the good work!

    Just my two pecs

THere are not enough minerals with decent markup yet on Arkadia to attract the mass miners. And this competition will not change that....as they are still using the same limited supply of bps available

But one good thing is, there seems to be three bps of each type. This will give all associated ores a price increase. Ufortunatley the most sort after tools (amps) is not included. And i believe that will be the biggest booster for the economy

But massive +rep for the A-Team

I have a feeling they will need to this again, or fix the drop rate of unlimited bps

It will be interesting to see if any new unl bps drop during the event!

    Rgds

I was wondering... Are people actually waiting for a good bp on the list to show up? or is everyone doing their best even when there's a stupid bp coming up?

since you can only loot 5, im guessing the "uber crafters" will wait until a nice bp for them to throw it all down the drain with some decent condition crafting :)

I've seen a few posts about the mining supply not being sufficient. I see this a huge opportunity. If I weren't already committed to the hunting event I would be skilling up my noobish mining professions with the expectation that it will be much easier than usual to offload my ores and enmatter for ok prices. Hopefully it is still going a month from now when I will be free.

my only disappointment is the overlap with the hunting event. spending a little time crafting or mining is kinda difficult at the moment.

I'm going as fast as I can! It's actually a big pain now that I have to wait for my finder to reload before I get back in my vehicle. It really slows down the process.

And lets not forget that Arkadia dev is effectively giving away stuff for free and arranging it so there are at least 35 winners. It can't be dominated by a few. Who cares if some prizes are worth less than others? The main thing is we get these bps out into the economy where they can be used to stimulate demand and produce goods people want to buy.

I really enjoy the idea behind the event but here is what i find to be my problem,
Since the event started Im finding myself waiting to craft big things for a chance to get a good bp on the list. However everyone else is too, so basically crafting has stopped. why are components on the list is beyond me.

But the limit of 5 is a great idea, but we should as winners be able to PICK which 5 we want. instead of me having to stop crafting completely to wait for a bp.

I dont think that would work. either there's a fixed spawn rate on bp's.. so.. the ATeam can give out the bp's the have listed in the OP and then all the good bp's will be selected first.. which means that no one will "compete" for the last bp's... or if there is no spawn rate, in which case the arkadia economy can fubar the rest of the universe if everyone selects to get the "best weapon bp's"..

What I think is the only thing that could be done differently is to not show which bp you would get, but simply show which bp's there's up for graps.
The list, as you can see, is predetermined - so it would not be gambling (ET shows the bp you will get once you get a qualifying global).
