Yes, that's six in a row. Stuck on Caly ATM grinding Shinkibas and skilling with Cryo chip. This nearly put me over the edge.

The bug was the "fail" message. "Miss" is a feature.

@ OP Six in a row at times are normal for me, even with maxed guns.

 

The most Misses I have ever had was 5 on Svempa X1, But I also have had a hit streak of 105 on the same gun.

 

The "Fail" (sync issue) bug got fixed (for most at least).

Six misses in a row is a statistical not so rare event considering that our miss rate on maxed weapon is approx. 10%. Often the miss rate is very low for some time (like i.e. 5%) and then those miss series kick in to balance it out.

I personally like the fact that it is not so even distributed. I enjoy in example the spikes of crit hits i do sometimes, even tho i know i "pay" for it by lack of crits at other times to even it out (~ 2% crits on hit maxed weapons).

If you are ever really frustrated with your hit / miss rate install a tool that can measure it (like the tracker client) and you will see it always evens out to the supposed average after some time.

It would be very boring if things would not be cyclic in EU. Just think there was a time, long ago, where mobs would always do the same damage (nowadays max damage btw.).

 

I too was very upset getting what I figured was way more misses using 2x0 axe than any other weapon.
That is until I did an actual test using real data.
I turned on private chat logging and used the data in the log file to verify all my UL longblade misses were in the 12%-13% range regardless of weapon (I have 11k in longbalde).

i'm so freakin glad i never have more than 4 misses,
after seeing 2 in a row my fingers already get itchy.. let just stand 6..

 

any misses are a pain in the butt. even more so when you are stood with your weapon pressed in to the mobs Head. even sometimes down its throat when they are trying to chomp on you.

Oh well part of the DYnamic that is I suppose. But 6 in a row is definatly a bum deal

 

I guess the part that frustrated me the most is the fact that Cryo chips are not cheap to use (cost per click), and I nearly had the chip maxed at the time.

If we are talking about "personal bests", my 2 worse were 9 misses in a row and 12 misses in 14 shots (both on maxed weapon) both were after some update (I believe same day) but I lost a screenie after format. I believe there are people with even worse streaks, but oh well... You have to be prepared for things like that Specially annoying on high regen/hard hitting mob, when cost is even more multiplied.

I know this is an older post but your using cryo chip on Shinkiba?That can get expensive!..I am doing the Iron challenge and using an unamped Opalo..seems to miss also (maybe 3 times out of 10 shots)...but seems still the "Misses" still are happening..

 

If your in the Shink are near PA at the outpost then im not entirely surprised. I hit that area last week and found a wave event there. Every time a wave event finished the rest of the Shinks stopped looting. And the only ones I ever got any real loot out of were the shinks above lvl7. but good luck with it.

 

Wow..Thats so true..so Tony should I hunt them elsewhere or before wave event do you think? I was hunting them last night and that seems to be the case.
