One more way to get ppl to Arkadia

If ppl are thinking of comming to arkadia - many is checking Entropiatracker.com to see if there is any interesting mobs / ore / enmatter to go for.

But we miss a lot of entries on tracker as not enough ppl on Arkadia are running the tracker software.

So this is a shoutout to all ppl on Arkadia - download the tracker program from Entropiatracker.com and use it all time you are running Entropia.

As for myself I can see on Korwils that tracker say i have globaled/hofed 143 times - but the real number is close to 200. Just today 3 globals didnt come on there as not enough was running the tracker software.

That would be very helpful... Word of mouth is a good way to get ppl to run the program..

Do you guys think it would help if I made a referral program.. so you would get X credits once a person you have referred to the site has logged 20 hours or so... ?

 

dont really know as we get those anyway while runnign the program? and we usual users probably come up to those 15hours/month easily which is a great way of advertising it right there.

Maybe put it more clear on the starter page you have the "thumbs up" from MindArk for the program tho

 

2 - Way to increase arkadia population

1 - Make referal system every 100 ped your referer guy generate to arkadia you recieve 5% or 5 ped if in case arkadia lost 5 ped but , imagine numbers people start promote game?
1.1 remember only guy spend money in arkadia
1.2 make exclusive
2-Create Personal avatar and start buying/craft most mineral/hunting loot ,and inject money in economy and start growing , every day in 6 moth , and create nice playerbase
2.1 or icentive trusted people to do
2.2 i think spend to create this planet over 50k , spend more 1 or 2k usd to economy and see customer happy
3- Promote game in autosurf/manualsurf/ptc/ptp/others (example sometimes i boring promote arkadia site in easy4hit us, i think brig about 200 daily visit )
3.1- Create simple and auto promote in 20-40s ( depend plan)

 

I think a referral program is a good idea, but might be more powerful if you arranged it so that the referrer gets an ongoing amount of credits when the people he has referred earn credits.

eg for every 100 credits earned by the person you refer, you get 1 credit. Would be more motivating to refer people for the right reasons (long term commitment) and to encourage them to stick with it.

 

If you asked me that I'd honestly have to say, "Nope, but no worries...MA never globals me anyway...".

(Okay, in reality, 4 globals in 14 months - 1 barely over 100. Uber.... :/ )

Remember. Entropia Tracker does not just track YOUR globals.
If you run the tracker program - you help the some 15.000 people who use the site to get more accurate data.

This is a community project and as such - the community is the only source of help the program gets.
Hence my hope that even if you do not global much, you would still like to help this program.

Another aspect of deciding weather or not to run the program is that Arkadia on one hand both actively use Entropia Tracker in mining data for their upcomming events - prize size, event style, estimated amount of participants and so on.... and the fact that Arkadia via the planet partner agreement will pay for your full membership for Entropia Tracker should you run the tracker client for +15 hours each month.

Both of those elements should be something that should entice you to run the tracker client as an arkadia resident.
If Arkadia gets the most accurate data from their planet - yes, they use ET to get data about their planet amongst other ources - they will be able to provide you with the best events possible for you. In example the "Alienware crafting event" were held via data provided from Entropia Tracker.

If the data on Entropia Tracker is not reliable, it is clear that Arkadia can not have such events in the future...

So, in short - if you want the best planet in the universe - Entropia Tracker, however odd it may sound, can help the A-team acheive this - but only if YOU help Entropia Tracker by running the client...

Several globals are not recroded right now even thou there is 4 runnning tracker on Arkadia. (Ingame time 11:03)

 

Does the tracker software shoot down if there is inactivity in the chat window? Some time i see that when there has been inactivity for some time suddenly there is noone running the SW on arkadia after 5-6 has been running it - including myself

 

Why cant i see when i shot down the Tracker software - do i run the wrong version????

The "Number of clients feeding" is how many has been feeding the last 20 minutes - so its not "live" which can be why it can show "4 are feeding" but actually only 1 or 2 i feeding now....

 

Big THUMBS up to all your Arkadians - I can see that we got more running the Tracker software. But there are still times with a very low amount running it

SO if you are not running it yet - get it up run the sooner the better.

Take a look at the graph here: http://www.entropiatracker.com/new/Planets.aspx and click away the other planets. Then you can see we now have a raising amount of globals and hofs here at Arkadia. I think this is a very important signals to ppl on other planets - that you can go to Arkadia and get some good returns.

 

I wonder if Dave's crew would consider running some "tracker dummies" to improve the accuracy of tracker stats. This would involve creating a few (say 6?) avatars with the permission of MA - Say "arkadia dummy1 tracker", "arkadia dummy2 tracker", etc who would only log in on spare or idle computers and run tracker. not hunt or impact economy in anyway. Given that tracker has been used in PP sponsored events and presumably will be again, it seems like good sense for them to try to ensure tracker is always tracking.

 

Either way.. It would be nice if a handful more were running the tracker client on Arkadia...
We are getting pretty close to 100% coverage of arkadia now... but i would rather have 200% coverage (At least 2 x the needed amount running the tracker at all times)... This means about 5-8 people more at all times. So, if you live in a "European nighttime" timezone.. Please.. run the tracker client... The only way the tracker can be usefull for you - is if there is 100% coverage.. and the only way we can get 100% coverage is if "all of you" run the tracker client.

Spread the word!..
Explain to people ingame what the tracker client can do.. Get them to run the client..
Remember.. it will do more than take screenshots of people's globals.. it will also show weapon stats and team loot for instance.. Its a usefull tool for people, even if they do not global often!...

thats was one of the things I noticed after space that the number of globals dropped dramatically, on Calypso I turned off the global channel but on Arkadia I've left it on but it hardly ever gets stuff on it. The worst I saw was 5 globals in nearly an hour and thats not for me it was for the entire planet.

 

can anyone check for me how much internet speed and other data requirements this program has?
as i'm fighting often in space i want to reduce all the programs which can cause lag or fpslag.
