Similar situation was in Nea's a while ago, too. Even post VU10. The screenshot you show is from "good-old-times" era, and to be honest, before economic crysis, before MA entered the "subsidiary at all costs" phase. Looks hard for me to get to that poin again, unless some serious work is done at the game mechanics.
Well we all know in 3 years Arkadia will have a bigger playerbase then all the other current planets put together. Why do I say this ? Simple. Dev team is exilent and provides feedback and actualy listens to their players, the vision of Arkadia and the current look and feel to it rocks and the comunity is exilent.
I am new today and I had a few Teleports from the start, it did take me a while to find people but "Lareka" was very helpful and I now have someone to sell sweat to. I did have to run to Relentless Firebase form the Academy but it wasnt far. And now I am sweating. While it is quite here, I need to sweat anyway so will look forward to perhaps more new players joining me at 23644,9700 pehaps this will be the main sweating place for new players. I did play EU many years ago so I have small knowledge that obviously has helped me.
If I understood David's post correctly under celest is a good spweat spot made for newbies but havent gone to take a loot yet myself as im currently off in space for tonights shipment. When im back ill go take a look and post my findings.

Hi MaxMoon the new sweating area comes along with one of the next patches in this case relentless is a good choice sometimes i organize sweating groups on bigger mobs I will catch you later if i come online
Hi Maxmoom, and welcome to Arkadia! You can sweat very easily vs the Carabok in any of the Academies. They do little damage and respawn quickly.
Any new player has access to way more tutorials at any of the academies and forums than I had starting in 05. You will certainly need to have a spirit of a survivor if you are a new player on any of the planets. Also, any new players to Arkadia are welcome to join one of the growing societies (like Arkadia Pioneers) that is more than happy to welcome and guide them through their first weeks here.
Very true, also there is a wide range of L items available for almost all levels of play making it (imo) easier to survive and progress you're avatar without to much peds.
The A-Team is working on an area near CH called "The Quarry" that will consist of low lvl mobs for hunting and sweating. This should roll out with next patch. jc
I am now sweating at Formidable Firebase Acadamy, its great here as u can drown the Carabok Puny under the water falls . For any newbie wanting to get here just swim south from Sanctuary Cove dont worry about red dots in water they didnt touch me at all. Then over land south the red strip. Keep to east of waters and it takes about 20mins.
I just wanted to update that over the Independence Day weekend I was at one of the FBs and we got 6-7 of us at a time sweating the halix near there with a helpful guy healing us all. Had a great time and met some new folks. Also got a bunch of sweat much faster than sweating carabok! I look forward to an area specifically for newcomers -- I believe its vital to the growth of this planets economy.
