So, if I understand it right from reading forums:

    1. You put a thruster device on your flying vehicle.
An UL thruster decays 9 pec, a L thruster decays 10 pec and a light L thruster decays 0.01 pec, when you leave Arkadia atmosphere.

    2. Flying through Space to Calypso costs around 80 pec of fuel.

    3. You pay 2 PED landing fee and another 9/10/0.01 pec thruster decay to go through Calypso atmo and land.

One way trip costs around 3 PED.

The current price on a (L) Thruster is about 100 PED and it lasts 49 jumps, so every travel through the atmo costs you about 2 PED.

The total price of one way trip with a (L) Thruster between Arkadia and Calypso is about 7 PED.

Hmm so MA just forgot to say it was when you traveled up into space too :/

5ped sounds like a great amount tho, but guess it wont stay that low or they will not drop any more space thrust BPs so we normal people cant afford to go up into space on our own anyway.
Or the place will be littered with pvpers just waiting to shoot you down every time even in a month or two (when the news is old again lol)

I don't know if you are charged 2 PED once or twice, that's how I understand it after reading different posts.

If anyone knows better, please post your corrections here.

Another thing I'm not sure is if you can be swooped off your non-stackable items in Space

The distance I believe was stated you would NOT be able to go interplanetary in a VTOL. VTOS are only an up down thingy and MAYBE small time exploration around a planet or as a mothership short range scout/fighter at best.

Thats kewl then as when they first started yakkin about what they were doing they stated that only mother ships and medium ships would be able to make the trip other then the hangar owners.

So if I manage to get a lift from Arkadia to Arkadia space-station, looks like I won't be needing a thruster on my VTOL for I can TP down to any planet I travel to, from the planet's own space-station.

If one doesn't own a thruster, and someone does... seems like it would be a waste of peds for both, to fly up on Your own. You could have someone to share some of the thruster MU / decay costs if taking passenger.

So instead of the old waiting list for passengers to fill Your spaceship, it's easier and faster, just to ask around if anyone needs a lift through the atmosphere if You're ready to go. You need to get only 1 passenger for VTOL and You're ready to go. That shouldn't take that long, I guess... so if there's a known TP or City where those gather who are about to take off and those who want for a lift to the orbit, then its not about each and everyone getting their own thruster to make this work.

I will honestly stay on Calypso(FFS!!!!) until I know for sure that my items is safe.... Never know with this MindArk, they never tell us what the rules are :p

I am hoping to be able to go to Arkadia really soon.... Bullshit being stranded on Calypso, but that might be a trick by MindArk since they now own Calypso?

Knowing that Calypso has the most mature economy, best prices, most active players so they instantly shut down auction from other planets and BPs wont seem to be dropping for us to get away from Calypso... Hm.... I knew it would be like this :D

Plus the cost of your VTOL and thruster, if you get PvP'ed.

To borrow a saying we tell new players in EVE Online "do not fly what you cannot afford to lose." The space game is still new here, so you will not meet any of the PvPer ATM. But wait until people start having their own fighters and such, then you will see why such saying applies. 10-30 mins is a lot of time for a PvPer to destroy your VTOL.

I don't think you will lose either VTOL or Thruster. May be a little damage to VTOL that needs to be repaired.

I'm definately going to check out space (without stackables) but first I need thrusters to be available and for a reasonable price.

No but it sure would suck ass if you got pk'd and then revived on someones ship who had you on FL to find out he is on vacation for the next few weeks and you will be stuck in his storage when his ship times out and is sent there because you had no welding rods to repair your ship to fly away.

Or on a funnier note...The big ship that just pk'd and looted you still had you on FL for taking you some where before and now has you trapped on it AFTER they killed you, looted you, (this includes the welding rods as MA are big enough assholes they probably made them stackable) and now wants to sell you back your own welding rods OR they will jettison yer ass and let you land where ever you land.

This is exactly the kind of things we can organise here to share the costs of stratostfere passing. I vote vor Celeste Harbour, as the name fits it well

Space pk = ship pk + avatar pk, 2 inventories to be looted. I wonder if your ship's oil can be looted too?

The way I understand it, you can not lose your VTOL in Space. If it gets destroyed, you only lose SI and a few pec TT, you can pick it up and keep in your inventory.

I still can't find a definite answer in regards with looting non-stackables though.

I don't really understand how that works. Need to go back and read the revive process details. I don't think you can be stranded on a space station as you have the option to TP down to planet, carrying your gear. But in anycase, well I don't know about you, but I would take the jettison option thanks. Note their name. Never travel with them again. Never buy from them. You can do business with me or steal from me but not both.

I would also publish the event on appropriate forum insofar as forum rules allow. If its ok to pk and steal, surely its ok to say a particular person did that? Its not like you are accusing anyone of scamming.

I think you are being way more negative than the situation really warrants. I am not happy about lootable pvp either but it isn't the end of the world , er universe. I'm going to wait a while and observe then work out how I can do what I want to do with the minimum of fuss.

    Regards,
    KikkiJikki

The warning that you get as you enter lootable space reads: You are now entering a lootable PVP zone. If you are killed by another avatar there, ALL OF YOUR STACKABLE ITEMS (except ammunition, bombs/probes, decoys and fund stacks) may be looted by your killer.

do the excepts to non-looting stackables include that welding wire stuff?

technically, it is ammunition for the repair tool.

Good point. It's not just any other stackables out there.

Same question for Vehicles fuel. It doesn't show on Your entropiauniverse-acccount-items list, so I guess that aint lootable either?

This is all still new, and believe me, things will change after a few weeks. The PKers will organize into unions, or gangs and the space devs will make new stuff, like space mining, which will get some interest to lure us miners into pkers sights, and all around, vehicles will take damage, even if they aren't destroyed, the cost of repairs will stop some from using them as much as they'd like. If we can fly to Calypso from Arkadia without thrusters, no one will buy them and MA knows it, also this will hurt hanger operators and mothership owners, since its too cheap. This will change soon, enjoy it now..lol.

vehicle fuel is not lootable. oil carried in any vehicle inventory is. apparently, welding wire is lootable.

so, when your ship is destroyed and you are looted, you'll end up on some station, stranded, as you have no mechanism to repair your ship. perhaps, you're lucky enough to end up on a station in orbit around a planet and can pay seven ped to teleport down. but, if you have no money...
