well, i can tell you that a creditcard has a 3.5% charge for deposits PLUS a cash withdrawal fee AND a foreign exchange fee on top of that.

There's nothing wrong with posting the same subject on multiple forums if you think the topic is valid to all of them (which in this case it is) and considering that not all people will frequent all forums, i think it could be valuable information for some people who might post here but not elsewhere.

That said, people are entitled to their opinions and i'm all for people speaking their mind, but please think about what you are posting before you click the submit button...that way, i don't have to delete or edit peoples posts and you won't have to feel offended if/when i'm forced to do so.

bank wire transfers is best way to move money to EU. No cc charges or added fees.. Not sure if MA takes a cut on a depo that way or not..You are also not limited on how much you can depo that way like with a CC or other methods.

after redundant advice to the wire transfer i will be looking into that

i am curious why no one has mentioned using a rewards card to depo with through the EU home page
i dont even know how to do a wire transfer yet
guess i have a lot of learning ahead of me

Last I heard any info about someone having enough moneyto warrant a depo that was was I believe 3 banking days. I would assume that was over 10k usd since they were using it for land purchace andI think anything transfered like that over 6k or 8k USD gets check by the governments involved to keep track on money laundering or terrorist support.

3 banking days is about correct, but yes it would depend on how often you deposit when choosing which method to use. I usually just use my credit/debit card for $100 per week that equals 965 peds to me and 35 peds to MA and a $3 fee to my bank separately. My bank charges $45 for the bank transfer option but you get most of your peds in that way, so when deciding which way to deposit you just need to weight the 450 peds (transfer fee) against using a credit/debit card with the 35 peds fee.

What it costs seems to depend a lot on what banks you use as well. If I decide to deposit I admit I'm not willing to wait around for 3 or more days for so called bank wire transfer, it's the electronic age for a long time now lol, and then pay some uncalled for bank charge as well. So, bank debit card is instant transfer, no charge from the bank at all, and the fee from MA seems worth it for the instantly updated ped card.

Edit: being American I remember the banks there didn't use to be up to much when it came to overseas transfers etc, and yes, charged for it. In the UK now and maybe a bit spoiled by the fact they seem to not have such a problem in ticking the right boxes to move digits to other places since I can quickly and easy transfer funds between accounts in both countries from over here, but could not do that easily on the other side of the pond.

Lee is right, I have 2 credit cards with 2 different banks. I have used both in the past with EU and one of them has higher fees for a deposit than the other.

The other ways to depo is with a prepayed non refillable cc called Visa's Vanilla One (not the gift one). Cost something like 4.95 plus whatever amount u want to add to the card. Only seen it at a few 7-elevens out here in California. Enter it as a new CC on your EU Account page on the website.

Yet another way is getting an Ultimate Game card, seen them in amounts like $10 and $20, found at CVS & 7-eleven in the gift card section. You scratch off the back to get your one time use code. When using this method select UCash from EU deposit options. Will be ent to a website where u select Ultimate Game card and enter the code. I think there is a fee using this method too but I dont know :p

According to EULA, sales between players outside entropia, is not forbidden It is however not recomended.
I know alot of people use this way to move big money IN and OUT of the game.

It is the quickest way indeed.

Maybe it is not forbidden but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless you know the person you get the peds from i.r.l. For all you know you get the peds from a scammer, and you could get your account locked when the scammer is cought.

You could be hit by a car next time you turn right, or hit by a plane next time you turn left.
    There are so many could`s.....
Fact is, it is a widely used method of transfering peds in and out of Entropia.
Wasnt this thread about ways to transfer peds in and out of Entropia, then IRL deals should be mentioned indeed.

Yes and that is why i was tought to watch both left and right before crossing a street.
This thread is about what the best way is, and i am simply stating your proposed way is a risky one for the average player, and should in my opinion be lowest on the list.
