    Mob dynamics

Mobs that have different damage resistances so it actually matters which weapon you use. People in EU love to do the math, give them somthing else to tinker with.

    Ignore button for chat.

Seriously. It's not hard to do, every MMO I've ever played besides EU has it. EU is the only game where I was forced to read every village idiot, racist, sexist, nationalistic, spamming, trolling, did you watch Dancing with the Stars last night? etc. thought that was typed into chat.

For those who say "just ignore it"; I can't, I automatically read everything I can see. I'm sure a lot of people are similar to me.

For those who say "in real life" blah blah blah; this isn't real life, it's supposed to be escapist entertainment.

    Lobby MA for this please.

    Shop directory

Not a listing of each item in a shop.

Similar to the soc terminal, but each shop would be listed by location. The info would just name the owner and the owner could access the terminal to tick check boxes (multiple) to show what category of items they dealt in, including 'General' 'High End' 'Clothing' 'Weapons' "Closed for Business' etc.

More features could be added later. Maybe a small text box the owner could type a message in (short message).

    Laser Range Finder
So I don't waste ammo. This is the future after all. Something similar for melee also. After all, most people who would dare to attack a creature with a blade, can surely see if the are standing close enough to hit it.

If your close enough to hit something with a blade, when will you get the chance to check the distance on the range finder? You'll be able to touch it with the blade, right?

Really with melee I think you only ever miss on the first swing, usually in attacking a mob that is agro'ed on someone else, I never used melee very much though. But they could make an indication on the HUD for you that you are out of range, before you swing. If your cursor is on the mob, just hit R or whatever key and a little light beside the weapon description on the HUD tells you red or green. No decay since it's just your eyesight and not a device.

Would work the same way for ranged except it would decay when you pressed the key. I'm hoping that future tech would have a chip in the gun and the finder so the finder would know what the range of he gun is. You point at a mob and press R and it lights up green or red.

It shouldn't decay on every shot, it's just crazy how the existing ones (which don't find range) are now.

This all sounds like mechanical stuff in main programming. MA would have to work on this...Lets not gve em more buttons to fiddle with to raise the likelyhood of more bugs or worse yet ways to add to the greed tax we already suffer.

True that it is all mehanical, but this the planet partners will be the ones who have to propose new things to MA if the ideas don't originate with MA.

And none of these things would cost players directly, finders are already used but don't do anything.

Damage resistances for mobs would cost indirectly by making some mobs harder to hunt for different weapons, but would also allow different planets to have a varying economy form the others by making certain weapon types more or less useful on their planets. However, it would make hunting a lot more fun for a lot of people. The crafting economy would be boosted too which is what drives the whole thing.

From watching the videos on the main site of Dave, Feng Zhu and Cyrus, these look like people who can get things done.

MA doesn't have a wishlist section on their forum, so...

I'd want that too, you can mute people on voice (at least I read that somewhere), not using ingame voice, only skype and TS, so it could surely work with type as well ;)

you already have a sort of range finder, move to target and you run up to the mob. Why would you need anything more then that?
Sure you have to get closer then max range of the weapon but if you dont like it train up your skills and you rarely shoot too far away.

And melee does it really decay the weapon if you hit or cut when it's out of range?

and damage resistance, only way I could agree to this is if the mobs wear armor just like higher umbras on calypso used to do. Like if larger Oratan would use some kind of armor

And also why you're at it about muting peoples chat, please do it with their vehicles too who seriously screws up mine and others gameplay with their lag for no reason at all. (or whats the reason to have vehicles out in a town where you just stand around to chat for hours?)
