Hi!!! I'm sure this suggestion may not necessarily be very high on the priority list, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to fix, but... I thought I'd throw this out there for consideration. I have taken a look inside some of the estates (apartments). The dark windows look sleek and sophisticated from the outside of the buildings, but the tinted windows significantly reduces visibility from inside. Why have huge windows if you can't really see anything outside? Any possibility of making the windows clear, or at least reducing the tint a bit?
please dont make them clear but possible a bit less tinted, or if possible make it change with the sunlight hitting them, darker during day and brighter during evenings Oh and the tree outside is in the way of the views in most apartments too, please could you make it higher or like a bush instead so it wont take up the views as much
Or... a button which turns the windows darker if selected? I tend to agree with the tree thing too, although they are certainly an interesting touch.
I have to agree about the tint ... I checked out a specific apartment at Sanctuary Cove that Chrome brought to my attention because of the view I wanted, and it's one I wouldn't mind having, but the view is ruined by the tinted windows because you really can't see anything good at all unless you're smack up against the window, and then it's so muted that it spoils it. Also, I wouldn't want it changing to dark during the day and light at night because the purpose for having an apartment with a view is to be able to see the view. I vote no tint, or at least a toggle switch or something where it can be turned on or off, but it should only affect the inside view, and not the exterior view of the building. The exterior of the apartments is awesome, but however it's worked out, I would like a view I can appreciate either day or night.
It sure would be nice to look out at night and see the beautiful sky. With the tint there is no chance.
As always, thanks for the feedback. I'll pass to the devs to take a look at the tint. No promises though as the buildings have been built for optimal performance in urban areas. EDIT: I've confirmed there should be no problem adjusting the tint, we'll work to get it done before they go on sale.
I was in an apartment at Santurary Cove a few days ago and there was shadow on the floor that was not consistant with where the windows and the sun was. I think one of the walls was configured wrong to be transparent to the sun. I agree to no tint on the windows when viewing from the inside out. The tint on the outside is fine as long as we can see out clearly at night.
Maybe the problem with optimization would be helped if the windows were tinted when viewed from outside (reduces item rendering from seeing stuff inside the apartments) but not tinted when looking from the inside out. Also, lighting inside the apartment could be adjusted with venetian blinds and curtains for more crafting uses of wool, hides, and plastics. If we can see into apartments from the outside, we're going to need telescopes.
That's just awesome Dave ... thank you very much. Can somebody up in here say ... S - P - O - I - L - E - D
I always thought it would be nice, if the windows actually worked properly. I always thought it would be nice to see the people walking around outside.
It actually looked a bit less tinted to me too today, so either we share eyes or it is tweaked a bit already
