I was getting curious what it would be like to make a few mining runs on Calypso/Amethera just to compare the results. As a side note, last few runs on Arkadia have been less lyst/oil and more other ores/enmatters than before. Maybe Ace Flyster could do another run on Arkadia and see if anything has changed since his first post? -- Hyssch --
Not sure what Mayana was getting at, TT return is the same. So if you mine and only get one ore, you will get the same tt return as if you mine and find 100 different ores. Unless you plan on using lyst, it is just a pain when it is so numerous Hyssch, I havent been back to the first few areas, after spending a LOT of bombs i eventually found somewhere that has slightly higher percentages of other ores than before. But lyst is still frequent and in abundance. Although i am now understanding that there are small areas within each bit that has slightly more selective types. Still numerous though Rgds Ace
I didn't realize at first on how small areas some of these "pockets" actually were. When finding one, its claim after claim all nearly within 80-110m radius, if You hit the center of it or so. -- Hyssch --
I wasnt talking about pockets of claims. I don't beleive in that, it was areas within areas which have selective ores. Eg take a large LA, north is belk and lyst, south is megan and erd. The LA is all All i believe is you went through a good hit rate time. You will average out at the same hit rate no matter what you find where and when But remember this, i have dropped probably over a million bombs, and there are avatars that have dropped more than me, and we all still have our own theories. I prefer to work on law of averages, any biggies are a bonus But yes for the point of my post, if was purely about type of ores, not tt returns or claim hit rate, those are completely different topics. This is about types of ores and their locations Rgds Ace
Okay. Edited my post and deleted the parts that were "off-topic". But, back on topic... just started a new mining run and it took 18 probes before first deposit of Oil or Lyst. Few weeks before it would've took less than 5 -- Hyssch --
What i meant was if i mine on caylpso and it's a bad trip i get maybe 60 peds of ores from 100 bombs..if i mine on arkadia and its about the same say 100 bombs i will get back closer to 85 peds with extra lyst and oil..and no i don't believe you get the same tt every time or place..it's all different in different places...not gonna believe in this getting back 90% tt return that so many say is true
Hey all, Thought i would update my findings. Came over for another mining run, currently 300 bombs dropped, 1km^2 area, currently found 13 different ore types. Lyst seems to be fixed which is good But still very disppointing finding so many ores in one place Question for Dave.....is this intentional? As i know you had a big mining update, and it seems the lyst was fixed at least Rgds Ace
Lol, make that 16 ores in one 1km^2 area Looks like it is back to calypso after all GL everyone Rgds Ace
Since this question has already been answered before.... yes it's intentional and no it's not going to be changed. One square km is bigger than most ore fields.... I recommend mapping if you want to focus on a single ore.
Please provide link to the answer! If you think 1km^2 is bigger than most ore fields. You have no idea about mining Rgds Ace
well now you know how hunters feel when we hunt ONE mob and get 18+ different types of loot back. It's the WHOLE problem with the EU economy is there are TOOO MANY ITEMS To Many Items is what is going to KILL Entropia if they keep adding and adding.
I am not understanding this thread.... there are many universal ore's, and en's..... and then there are the ARK ore's and en's... mix the 2 together and yes there will be 16 types in a given area... as a miner i am only lvl 20, so my exp isnt as much as the "big dog's"...... but with the MU that is charged for native ore's <any of them> i dont see the room to complain.... if i could go out and mine dunkel all day, and always get dunkel, it would be worth jack.... all of the highest ores and ens are here, and hitting... the frequency of the finds may be "off" from what you are used to.... but each planet is different.... even foma has different "rules" to get good finds... This is a simple game, with simple crafting..... just be glad there isnt "grades" of materials better for one thing than another...
Please carry on mining arkadia, you obviously like it an enjoy it. Personally i like an area to have 4 or 5 ores so i can target ores. Not get 16 ores in one small area, heavily diluting what i am getting, So i guess i will stick with calypso unless it changes Wishing all miners gl out there Regards Ace
It takes a couple of days to get used to it but there i patterns here as well. Personally I prefer the way it is at Ark but Calypso is ok to even though it can be bit to easy to control.
I think the ore distribution is fine, you just need to use various finder to focus on different ores, I saw your ET I think you are a much more experienced miner than me so you should understood it already, I can tell you the ore distribution in a server area are cut into many many small area with different ore distributions, so if you want to focus on some minerals just try to find the border then you will get it. A question about the whole center server area, is there anyone can mine in there and get more minerals in other minerals than lysterium? My friend told me this problem so I went to there and dropped over 500 peds, all i got is lysterium and nothing else. My main finder is Z1 and F-103, even the depth is not right, but 500 ped dropped and all lysterium is not acceptable you know , so I want to ask is it my own problem? Or others has this problem too? btw I think the biggest problem in Arkadia is not ore distribution, is the idiots undercut the price like insane, Ospra was 140ish markup but now the markup is around 138% and keep falling, and some experienced miner undercut even more. I don't know why they want to do it to kill themselves and other miners. So STOP UNDERCUT THE PRICE OK??? YOU MINERALS ARE ABLE TO SELL BETTER WHY YOU WANT TO MAKE LESS AND ALSO LET OTHERS MAKE LESS TOO
Ospra is like Lyst, so when it will balance and will raech fair market value, it will be 108%. Same with Alternative Rock. Those are ores specific to a planet and are way too easy to get. The reason they keep the value up is because there are not that many miners on those planets and those that are do not cover the volume needed on the market. If I would decide to move there for one week, I would have so much of that ore for sale, it would take me 6 months to sell at this price, or it would crash to 110%. That is why I am not moving yet. All ores atm are and can be overpriced there. Is a seller market. Enjoy it while it lasts.
