View attachment 149 Most players have a very unique avatar name, usually something that's a little out there, something we don't understand perhaps. Tell us how you got your avatar name, do you have an interesting story behind it? Was it given to you by some friends for doing something weird and whacky? Is it a name you use in other places? I'll go first. My avatar name is Niko Vantastic Holm. The first and last are my actual real name, but in game and around the forums etc I go by Vantastic. This was because years ago I bought a car, an Australian icon called a Panel Van. I had all these wonderful plans to do some mods to it, new paint jobs, increased engine performance etc, and I thought about getting some custom number plates to go with it. Vantastic sprung to mind I just kept using it. For those of you unfamiliar with what a panel van looks like, the attached image will give you some idea about it. I'm looking forward to reading all your stories of how you got your own avatar names!
Cool car!! Mine is just my name backwards.. Nor = Ron .... euqcab = Bacque' and alien... well I love space soo much that my friends believe im not from this planet... earth that is
OH awesome, I like your car, what modification you did for the engine performance ? I really like your rims ! About avatar name Master Duncan Paradox, I choosed Duncan, it's maybe stupid but when I was a child I was fan of Highlander (tv serie), Duncan Macleod The special effect was crazy, the story was really good and the actors was perfect. I promise I never beheaded anyone English Intro : French Intro (it's not because I'm french, but I prefer this version ) : When I was a child, my dream (it's maybe still a dream) was to be immortal to have the time to meet some nice people around the world and to see the evolution of the world and the humans. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic when I see the intro again. I use it everywhere on the net, game forum, car forum etc... And Master, I don't know really, it's the Paradox
Thanks! Not much modifications - I got married so priorities have changed. But here are the mods: Pacemaker extractors, mandril bend through to 2.5" tuned exhaust Stage 1 Cam Lowered and stiffer suspension - the originals suspension felt like the car was more at home in the sea! Highflow air filter What I wanted to do was tonnes more: Stage 3 cam Turbo or supercharger + NOS 9" LSD Quickshift gearbox Better paint job and bonnet/hood moulding
lol @ vantastic. never heard of anyone naming an avatar/character after their car and thanks for the picture bwahahahaahaaaa. I actually tried to grow long hair because of this when I was younger now I BLAME YOU for having to wait for the next 8 hours till I get back home to watch some oh, yes, my name Kaerendus Kay Jones Kaerendus comes from a group of names I made up over time, starting with Kerendar, an elf in the simple browser-rpg evergore. he vanished a long time ago along with the server he existed on. while Kerendar fits a fantasy setting it looks strange outside of it. so, for zynga's Vampire Wars 'Kaerendus I.' was born. cause I'm lazy, I often ended ingame messages with 'K' but that seemed odd here, so I extended it to Kay in some other browser game that was so bad I cant even remember it that had a sci-fi setting I was a bit at a loss cause I had no names ready there. that time around I had seen the spelling Aeric instead of eric for the first time and thus 'Aerik Jones' had his 15 minutes of bored existence. wether you call it name recycling or evolution, those make up my entropia avatar
Mine ( James Warpath Proudstar ) came from the copy of X-Force with him on the front sitting beside my computer when I made my avatar. James Proudstar or Warpath as he is known in the comics has been a favourite of mine for a long time and he was on the cover so wuahlaa!
Mine is boring lol Jennifer Jenny ferr Always liked the name Jennifer and also Jenny is a nice name, so when they insisted I had to come up with a last name I thought long and hard and could not think of anything and then the brilliant idea to make it sound like Jennifer appeared And then Jenny ferr, doesn't seem so bad as an actual name either
Like Van above, the first and last name of my avatar is my RL name. EwoK is a nick i've used for years when i used to play Quake, Tribes, Tribes 2, Aliens Vs Predator and Battlefield - Desert Combat Mod. I picked the EwoK because unlike the big ol' Wookie, you don't see 'em coming till they spring out of nowhere to take you out! A tactic i used to favour, especially using the Alien in AvP and as a scout/sniper in Tribes/Tribes 2.
Lol...Nor is easy, but Euqcab is hard to pronounce. Nice naming convention though. Hahahahaha. I love the Highlander!!! Fave TV series ever man. Even had the same dream to be an immortal...bwahahhaha. Don't lie Ifuri...you're Sundari
Hummm.. long story. Pifometre is a slang french word that may have several means : - nose, - intuitive perception, - feeling, - smelling. Pif means those and also "wine", so Pifometre phonetically could be heard as all those but also Wine by meter (number of wine glasses ordered in a bar), or Pif Master.. Aragon : my family comes from a middle-age village located in the north of Spain and that was one of the fith that created the Aragon kingdom. Now you know all.
erf, how do you know !? (but ifuri came from WoW and she was a Gnomes). In my head she look like that ifuri. Sundari young and cartoon version? ...
Only a boring story behind my name. Several years ago I was up to make my own comic featuring a female hero. (Stuck in storyboard level and is rotten and forgotten meanwhile.) I was looking for a nice unique name of the hero. That time my daughter was a fan of "Jamiroquai" ... sort of music combo wich I don't remember well. But I loved the sound of the name, took the first part and transformed it to a female version ... Jamira. The comic-project didn't survive - but the name did ;-) And when it came to give a nickname to my new existence at Calypso this name was the first choice. Well, my full name is Ulla Jamira Braun. I was looking for an easy to vocalize first name wich fits to German as well as to English language. The name of a native came to my mind and "Ulla" was ordered as first name. Last name was a bit more tricky. First I thought about a very special one. But than it came to my mind that everybody will do this. Some uses the names of heros from literature or movies ... Arthur Starman Dent (R.I.P.), Parker Parker van Helsing, Vader, Skywalker and so on. I thought that would be too sleazy. Conclusion was: use a common-or-garden name ... Brown. But hey! I am from Germany. So it became Braun. The last criteria was if I can find an uboat commander from WWII as my grandpa. And I succeeded: Kurt Braun. Check http://www.uboat.net/men/commanders/126.html. I love his career because he was a hunter but never sunk an enemy ship (No PK please!). Meanwhile more than five years have been bygone and I am still happy of this choice. Best regards, Ulla Braun, called Jamira
You can't be immortal mate, I will have to kill you to have all your power Arkadia will be immortal Ahh the wife You have done some nice modifications, the cams change a lot the sound, stage 3 can be hard. About the supercharger, it's insane, I will put mine soon, the sound is crazy lol Now we wait a pics !!
Mine isn't too complex ... My brother joined PE first in early 2005, and after a month of playing, said that I needed to join him and check it out. He created a name related to his RL profession (Jetboy) ... works for an international airlines. I followed suit to a degree ... the "Mind" part of my name is related to my profession, which is the discipline of psychology - did counseling for many years before switching careers and becoming a psychology professor for the last 7 years. The "Star" part of my name is because I wanted something to represent the universe, and the "9" part of my name is because I was born on the 9th day of the 9th month. I am known as MS9 mostly, but also - Star (by socmates and many EU friends) - MindSpy (a name given to me by Lykke) - and even MindCakes (which is a name given to me by one of my special friends). My brother and I used part of his name and my name to form our society on June 18, 2005 ... JetStar Alliance (JSA). I disbanded the soc once, but remade it again.
Cyrusley Cyrus Slayer... Simple! Cyrusley - Sounds nice Cyrus -Thats me! Slayer - Wanted to slay things, but the naming convention made it look like I wanna slay myself... Took like 10 secs to come up with a name. Wanted to play EU so bad. Ah...those were the days...
Mistress Penny Dreadful... well let's see... I'm an old pen & paper RPGer, played many games. One thing I always tried to do was come up with a character concept before actual creation. Now, I knew I wanted a female avatar, as most of my characters over time have been. I knew I wanted a strong-minded and somewhat physically imposing avatar... so that explains her height. At the time I was watching the first Lara Croft movie with Angelina Jolie, and that combination of strength & beauty was something I thought really fit nicely. I had played some of the Tomb Raider games, and am fond of Lara So I had Penny's physique pretty much chosen before I started... including hair style & even her facial features. Names have usually been the hard part for me... no exception here My brother and I bounced ideas off each other, but nothing. Then I had one of those spontaneous thought bubbles that just work their way up to the surface and *POP* I had it! Penny Dreadfuls were old trashy serial stories for the newly literate working class in the Industrial Revolution (including one said to have heavily influenced Bram Stoker, Varney the Vampire). That was perfect on several levels, and could even be said to be a play on words... and with her strong character I named her Mistress. Penny Dreadful, Penny, Mistress Penny, Mistress Dreadful, the combinations had plenty of opportunities. One other thing that I had a vision for her, was that as a Mistress she needed a whip. That was a year-long goal in itself lol. I was disappointed that I couldn't start with a pony-tail, but I very quickly found a hair dresser to fix that little oversight So as you can see, Penny took a lot of effort to come up with, but when she did that *ah hah!* moment hit very hard
I go my name not from the computer mouse company as many people think, that company didn't even exist when I got the name. I got my name from a robot competing in the BBC series Robot Wars, where people needed to build their own robot and fight it against other robots. I really loved that show and 'borrowed' the name from that robot.
