I'm intending to do stage 1 at some point in early 2017 when I can afford to depo. again. I did have a little trial on them last year using Gremlin and 5b which was not too bad though I think that I'd need a fapper (could self FAP though) for a serious run on them with that setup. Have also Rutuba which has really good acid protection, so I might have a run on them with that as well and compare cost between Gremlin + 5b + FAP costs and Rutuba (no plates) + FAP cost (if any ) I considered P4 and Gremlin, but never tried it due to the P4 cost.

 

Everybody sees it from their own current level, of course. I tried with Viceroy & Pulsar 8 under the previous owner and struggled with Stalkers, but I think the occasional Prowler is doable. A more economic setup however would allow for going with 4a plates instead of 5b or stronger, which makes for cheap & lazy hunting (i.e. fapping needed only after crits) ideally around the Provider/Guardian maturities. But I believe more advanced hunters would not be satisfied with this especially for the want of high-hp targets, so I can see where you need to compromise between the different requests.

 

You also need to take into account your evade level, which helps quite a bit, and if you ask me it's the most fulcral point. As San states above, it is highly connected to your skill levels (aparently they matter a bit).

Well unlike the previous owner, im not a sadist, so I dropped the stalkers altogether, as it stands, and thanks to milton osga hastings, I refined the maturity a bit more. You will see prowlers lurking about, but they are easily avoidable as it stands. Plenty more old alphas to hunt, which means more MU will definitly be assured, while not requiring super high markup protection.

Sure someone with lesser skills will most likely need a fapper, they aren't nice flowers to smell after all, but they are definitly more doable than before! Plus 1% less tax also helps ^_^

 

Not sure what my evade is and I can't get ingame to check because of this GC issue. I think its mid teens though, 15 to 17, somewhere around there. Not terribly high. The entropedia mob/armour comparison though says that crit's with Gremlin + 5b would be non lethal (from full health) for anything except the top two maturities. And no crit. even from a stalker, would be lethal with the Rutuba. Hunt on auto use tool, loot pill, rapid switch from sword to FAP. What can go wrong?

 

From experience, and my evade is lower than yours currently, the problem isn't the damage per hit, it's the number of hits they do per minute on you

Don't get me wrong, you can hunt them fine and dandy with 5b plates, it has been tested, the damage mitigation is more than enough to make it sustainable, but if you have more evade (easier said than done) you'll have a considerable easier time... It's the single most crucial reason more people don't come out here to hunt the MuMa's sadly I try to educate people on it but they live under the impression these beasties are still Stalkers and that they are harder than regular madanas.

My opinion is biased ofc, but do give them a try and let me know your feedback on the experience, and if possible I will tweak it further. Right now It was tweaked a bit up as I mentioned earlier, and the good items are beggining to drop regularly again So yeah!

 

Bumping it up to say that the MuMa's will be around young to old maturity for next month!!! Be sure to try them out and provide some feedback on overall huntability and loot!

 

I've been grinding on your LA for the Arkadian Alliance event and can say for me the current maturities at level 36 evader and using viceroy and 5b plates have been very doable unless I get 2 or 3 on me at once. The MU has been decent on them for me as well. Also I feel the points per kill is at the optimal level. Decreasing the maturity will of course lower that point value but the speed to kill should go up as well. I will hunt there some and let you know my feelings after.

The reason is also due to the Arkadian Alliance Monthly Event, where if the madanas are a bit smaller, then they are elligible for a wee bonus for everyone, so I think that might help people out in the end aswell

But, we will see how it all develops.

 

I was thinking about the bonus as well. I've been grinding as much as I can to see if I can place again this month. Since I'm not sure of the HP on the lower maturity I can only speculate but I'm guessing that at young they would be about the same as the mutated zadul over on Khorum Coast. Guess we will see what you and Longtime decide to do for May. Looking forward to it either way.

 

Let's see how it will work on June with the proper maturities (they didn't lower proper last month)
