the quest giver isn't working

 

OK have had a chance to think about this.
I've previously given up on any notion of winning the prizes, as based on a couple of years of these events, I simply can't compete with the dps of big guys (I max out at about 80 - 90 dps before any pills, rings etc). So the prizes aren't relevant to me. And to be honest only the armour and plates are of interest to me. So I am not fussed about that.

So for me it comes back to the skill pills, and the breeder missions. I love getting and using 100% boost to skilling as it gets me closer to kill strike. Every year I end up earning more skill pills than I use so I get a net gain that I can apply to other hunting. And any mission that grants evade is worth looking at as evade is the single most useful skill in the game. Based on that I am really happy with idea of having the chance to hunt Breeders for 60+ days spread out over 7 months. I think I will be doing that a lot, depending on budget and other commitments. Chance of getting bored is low owing to the monthly arrangement. Given I am not going for the prizes I may choose to not complete the 20 hrs each time since I will have other opportunities to do the missions.

So big thumbs up from me for this hunting event. Also the implication is we will be seeing some new mobs eventually, with electrical damage. I'm very happy about that as I have a heap of Tbird in storage and also some of the Pulsar plates I craft are going to now see increased demand.

Obviously no mining, crafting or auction event has been announced. I don't think we should assume they won't happen so I am waiting to see what is announced. My hope is that the devs took a look at my feedback re the auction and have put some serious thought into redesigning the auction.

 

MIssion broker seems to be broke on the actual gold rush mission....

 

By broke I mean we cant even get into any cats some of us, while other people are freely able to come and go...

 

well some can get in, others not, but i think no one can take the gold rush mission.

 

I can get into the last cat I did (cat 1) but there's no mission and the quest giver want's me to abandon the mission I don't have

 

Had the same msg about abandoning an existing mission, but I still got into the instance for the loot / magurg breeder evade mission.

Even looted some points, but am not sure if I am in the event proper or not, lol.

 

I can't. I still have the Breeder missions, but no leftover GR mission which it tells me I have to abandon first. None of the 4 category portals talks to me at all.

Edit: Abandoned previous Breeder missions since I had 0 points on them. Also doesn't work.

So... tryed evrything to get in and nothing. All i get is "You must abandon all prior GR missions" did that and nothign so ill be like Dony tiny hands "System is rigged"
BTW where is miners event

 

There are two missions to pick up. 1 for the cat you want to do, 2nd for the kill mission. Did you get both or only 1?

I got both and got in just fine.

 

just done a 2 hour session in cat 1 which is open to me (because I can't abandom the mission that doesn't exist!) but the points must not count because the skill pills aren't dropping so apart from looting arkoins and evade skill it's a bit pointless at the moment....

 

i have a feeling that you lost 2hr of the timer

 

getting the same problem... can't enter cat2 and can't get my GR 2016 - 1/7 mission..."You must abandon all prior GR missions"... i left all my previous GR missions already.

 

I doubt it, since I'm going to have to abandon the mission somehow which deletes it all.

I did take screenshots of every token drop though
Or they'll let me carry on with the mission as is in which case I have a 20k point head start from last time lol

 

Kinda frustrating if i see someone HoF on a Margurg Breeder Cat2, flying over to Ark to make this Event and can't even Enter.

 

I have to abandon old prior Goldrush mission before entering new event, but i dont have a old Goldrush mission i could abandon.
