Not sure if I'm putting this in the right section or not but admin can move it if not :)
I'm interested in the Pulsar BP's (L) there are none on AH so they seem to be uncommon. Can someone tell me what they drop from? And also if there is any for sale in a shop somewhere?

Pulsar Bps drop from crafting armour and plates on Arkadia.

There are (L) and UL bps. I'd not expect to pay a lot for a (L) bp but maybe I should do some armour crafting and see what drops.

For L bps, think in terms of the cost per click due to bp cost and what that would do to the mu% of the final item. That will help you price them.

    Talking about UL...
I think its interesting to look at the gap between what price sellers are looking for compared to what buyers are willing to pay. From my own perspective there are a number of bps I will TT rather than sell at the buyers market valuation. For me the question is how much short term peds (from bp sale) is it worth to further increase the number of competitors crafting that item?

However that price in the referenced thread seems a little ambitious.

Sorry, drifting a little off topic.

What I don't understand is why there are no pulsar bp's on auction. Is the drop rate really low, or do people just hang onto them if they do loot them?

I saw them on auction, but not very often. You have to keep your eyes open and check back regularly, possibly over months. Or, as suggested between the lines, start with some armour bp which is cheap to craft and hit it until something drops, and then work that for higher level drops etc. Those who are in business now have invested quite a bit.

As I explained, I generally TT them if I think I won't get a good enough price to justify increasing my crafter competition. And the ones where I think I will get a good price I am more likely to sell through the forum so I don't risk wasting auction fee if it takes longer than 7 days to sell. And yes drop rate is relatively low.

I'm interested in crafting them (specifically pulsar 4) for my own use not for sale so no competition from me :)

Have you checked market stats under orders/available? That should give you a hint. And of course, being self-sufficient instead of buying from the primary vendor is also a form of competition ;)

I suppose :) However I don't want to be reliant on finding plates as and when needed. I'm aiming to hunt the mutated mandana at some point using gremlin and pulsar 4. Though I could also use Rutuba (and no plates needed) though replacing broken Rutuba parts would be more difficult than getting new plates :) Thanks for the orders tip, I'd not thought of checking that.

I meant the blueprint. Go to the orders side, then "available". This shows you the things that exist (only unlimited), not only what is currently for sale. From there check item info and market stats.

Yep I understand the desire to make your own. I'm just explaining why you aren't seeing them crop up on auction.

I know where you can get a reliable supply of P4s. :p

Yes, been in your shop :) Why do you have full sets on display but not for sale though?
