Is Entropia suffering from a temporary login hiccup? This is the first time in 3 weeks that I've tried to login (been ill) and the game window shuts down as soon as the loading of Arkadia is complete. I could even hear the usual ping that notifies me that I have low memory.

Or is it that the game finally has decided that my lack of RAM isn't sufficient anymore? I've been roughly 300Kb short the past 3 years and have still been able to play on Low Graphics.

I won't bother sending a support ticket because I know they won't help those of us with insufficient requirements. Just want to know if this will be permanent or if it's just one of those monthly hiccups that happen.

I have only 2GB of RAM and game still works fine for me, so I guess is not that.

This happened for several players (myself included) after the last patch.
For me, it was impossible to run the game in 32 bit, even in safe mode. But in 64 bit I have no issues.

Whether you use 32 or 64 bit, swap to what you normally don't use, and reset your settings in the game launcher before logging in. If you still crash, try running the game in safe mode and not full screen. If that works, adjust the advanced graphics settings from safe mode to low, one setting at a time.

    Good luck :)

don't remember where i saw this, but seems there is a problem with the ifn uniform; if you wear it, log in in safe mode, unequip it , then relog in your normal graphic mode

This has nothing to do with the uniform. Did you even read the post or are you just fishing for post count?

I'm having issues with the client now too. It won't load the webpage. So I'm contemplating downloading the client and reinstalling it. I'll see if I can get it fixed. I'm not that savvy with PCs.

We had frequent crashes and freezes on two different machines (different operating systems, different GPUs etc.).

Re-downloading dynamic content solved it, didn't need to reinstall executable part. (Check Tools>Folders for the location of .pak files, close client loader, delete all .pak files ('Repair' option doesn't exist anymore, and you cannot know which one is to blame), start client loader and let it download again - may take several hours.)

And yes, there is a good chance IFN uniform is one (but not the only) culprit - several people have reported crashing as soon as they see it. I however was crashing every time I tried to look into 'Clothes' section of my storage which did not contain said uniform, so obviously there are other causes, too.

Actually uniform didn't caused any problems (confirmed from people who had problems with other items); it seems is some textured items that cause that (as long as those people moved the textured items in storage, while in safe mode, they stopped crashing).

But most common fix seemed to be switching to 64 bits version of the client.

And the page not loading in launcher... is same for all... maybe because PCF being down?

Yes, but how can I change clothes if I can't even get into the game? It's nice of you to want to help but the suggestion makes no sense under the circumstances. Besides, what my forum avatar wears and what my in-game avatar wears are two different things.

I will try this. Thanks for the info. What I really want to do is wipe my computer completely (for other reasons) and start afresh.

Safe mode still works for everyone (touch the wood!).

Update to what I wrote above: unfortunately, re-downloading dynamic content hasn't completely eliminated the problem, we stlll crash/freeze now and then, although less often.

Yeah there's something wrong with using anything but safe mode. I found the option in the client to change (didn't know it existed), got in game and tried changing back to low mode. Was thrown out instantly.
Also, I cannot change to 64bit.

Have MA changed the tracking window or was the increased size a result of safe mode?
