Quick question about mounted weapons

-- Which one will fit on a Valkyrie, and will the same one fit on a Hovercraft?

I looked on the entropedia but didn't see any relevant info.

I would think the more lighter or medium sized would fit on the Valk or Hover. Im not sure there the same hopfully a pvper would answer this

 

the answer is on the info sheet for the valk, it says what attachments are useable for that vehicle.

 

Same for the hover craft, in fact all vehicles show what weapons they can use. As far as I know all the valk, pitbull, jeep and hovercraft can hold the same gun.

 

Are you talking about the Info sheet ingame you can call up when you click on the vehicle/object? Just looked there, didn't see anything about what will fit on it...I must be missing something....

 

Player held weapons for vehicles go on any vehicle so far...the BIG mounted weapons only go on specific vehicles. So if you carry a vehicle gun in inventory it can be used on any vehicle with a hand held mount.

question: if I'd get me a low TT mounted weapon for my Valk & attached it, would it be visible even if there's no gunner? Is this possible?

Not that I'd planned to shoot my beloved co-participants, but it might provide a cool look and a style bonus ;-)

No it wont there must be a person that have it equipped

And the same gun that goes in the cars and hoover can also be used in the back compartment of the chopper to be used by a passanger

 

No you can't see it.
You only can see it if your in the gunner seat and mount the weapon from your inventory.

If it's a weapon that you have to drag and drop on the vehicle, than it will be displayed even if there is no one in the spawned vehicle.
As far as I know this is only going for choppers, VTOL, patrol boat and tanks.

Rule of thumb, if the weapon is in your inventory in the same category as your vehicles, than its a drag and drop weapon.
If it is in the same category as the rest of your weapons than you can only equip it if your in the gunner seat.
This is the weapon that should fit on the valk etc.

Can we shoot with normal weapons from a VTOL? If not, I guess I'll have to find some cheap gun for mine.

Unfortunately we can't. I was silently hoping it was possible to do this from the side of the Gungnir helicopter but that also isn't possible.

 

Also mounted weapons only work against other players in pvp.

So no use in getting one to shoot mob's, this is imposible.
They are pure cosmetic if your not in a pvp area.

Hello,

There is still something I don't understand.
In the basic information of the item information for mounted weapons there is something like: Attaches to...and then a name for the slot or something.
My problem is that I cannot find the name of the slot in the vehicle information, so I guess it doesn't have any meaning...

 

the slot info is located where you see the tt value of the vehicle, but those with different slots is mostly for flying vehicles

Cars and hovercrafts use normal mounted ones that don't have any slots to be attached to

 

And what have I to do with the "slot information", when I Intend to attach a weapon to a flying vehicle?
For example: VWeHM-S A2 in the item information for the VTOL MMB AS-35 (L)...

 

VWeH2M-S A2 = is the Slot
VTOL MMB AS-35 (L) = the weapon that fits that slot

So once you have the weapon and the vehicle it attaches to then just drag the weapon over the vehicle in Inventory and its fitted.
All thats left to do is sit in the seat with ammo and press fire

 

Ok, I have just seen that the slot is mentioned in the item info of the vehicles. Thanks!
